Contrails and Clouds

Hi folks -- lots of interesting blog stuff going on today; I will get to as much of it as I can (while still putting up the Guest Editor's Picks and everything else that I have to get done).

Also, our Keyword: FTP problem that I mentioned earlier is now fixed... sorry for any inconvenience.

In the meantime, I realized while driving in this morning, that one of the nice things about working near an airport is that you get to see a lot of interesting clouds.

We're right by Dulles Airport, so you see a lot of clouds that form from the contrails of planes:

Thanks -- Joe

Great photos Joe,   Can you help me with a query I have ?  Ever since I`ve been keeping my journal I`ve had problems with the `show recent` buttons at the bottom of other journals, and the `all about me` button on my journal.  The Show Recent  never opens and the All About Me ia very tempermental, do you know why that may be?

Hi Sandra -- I took a look at your blog -- don't see any problems offhand, and you mentioned that you were having trouble with Viewing Recent comments on other people's blogs, too. This makes it sound like an AOL client or browser problem, which can be tough to figure out. You can try running diagnostic programs like AOL Computer Checkup to see if anything comes up.

One thing I would do is to test viewing your Journal and other people's Journals using a standalone browser -- here are my instructions on how to do that: http://journals.aol.com/journalseditor/magicsmoke/entries/844

If you're not having problems when you use a standalone browser, you're probably having AOL client issues, which is a little out of my depth.

If you are having problems, even with, say, a standalone Internet Explorer (IE) browser, it could be an IE problem. That's even more out of my depth, though the standard advice applies: Clear your cache and restart your computer, and see if that helps.

Thanks -- Joe (posted & mailed)

Cool photos. I like the third one as there appears to be some kinda sundog going on or maybe a lens flare.

These are interesting to look at, especially the second one with so much blue.  About this time of year I think I get color cravings.  =)
