pretty interesting; I will fill you in when I get back (it's gonna be pretty
packed tomorrow, so I don't know what kind of updates I'll be able to squeeze
in).

with receiving your comment alerts, please let me
know, either via an e-mail to me or in the comments
below.
I know the comment alert delivery problem is of
extra interest right now because of a particularly
virulent porn comment spammer out there (which is why I need to know if you're
still having non-delivery problems); I will talk more about what we're doing on
the comment spam front later on.

I notice that I get alerts for about half the comments that are posted. And I have blocked several porn spammers over the weekend. Mrs. L

My last porn spam on journals in both this name and in etvjackie was on Sunday -- it was a porn spam bot blitz. As of now, comment alerts in both names are extremely sporadic. Have a good time!

I seem to be getting sometimes every other comment alert...sometimes less.
I am getting the entry alerts but not all the comment alerts.

I am so glad you have the experts at AOL looking for that spammer. I think it's odd that they try to embed these messages into our archives, as if we have time to look there or as if someone would look there for whatever they offer.
Thank you so much for mentioning this in your entry- and tell the techs looking for the spammer we hope they find this person or persons and put a stop to it. It's just annoying; we all seem to agree on that. Hope your conference goes well. Thank you again for trying to find this spammer. It will be a huge relief to us all. I think I speak for all of us here in J Land. Thank you, thank you. Please send the techs God speed on this all important task!

glad to know that AOL is on top of this with the comments. I know it wasn't working yesterday. I haven't checked yet today...
yes, that ugly spammer was at least easy to get rid of in journals with a click or two for each of the screen names but glad AOL is taking a special look at what to do about that.

Okay, Joe... my Alerts for my http://journals.aol.com/etvjackie/TheAmazingRace8FamilyEditionBlog/ were mysteriously turned OFF once again. I know I didn't do it. I noticed that before with some of my blogs and turned all back on. I'm experiencing sporadic Alerts AND the mysteriously turning off of Alerts.
I'm having problems with mines too!
