New Guest Editor's Picks for 9/30

Hi everybody. As posted in the Journals Message Board, our new
Guest Editor's Picks are up on the Journals Main Page:

Guest Editor Jodi

Our
Guest Editor this week is Jodi, a mom of four who
likes to write, loves daisies and has 96
other things
that you can learn about her. Her featured blog
is Looking
Beyond the Cracked Window
, and you can see Jodi's top blog
picks in her blog
entry:

* Tidbits
*
Seriously,
Though

* Carpe
Diem

* Separation
Anxiety

* Sugar,
Spice and Everything Nice

* One-Way
Passage

Jodi's chose a theme of
autumn, though it's more of a feeling than a season
-- one of comfort, transition and change.

In other news, the tech folks put in a fix for the intermittent problem
of comment alerts not getting delivered, though I'm
still getting problem reports so it looks like they'll have to keep
looking.

Also, it looks like we'll be installing a fix next week to make

counters more reliable; I will tell you more about it when we get

closer to it.

Talk to you later, have a great weekend.

Thanks. -- Joe

Hi Joe, you have a great journal here and I enjoy keeping up on happenings in AOL J-land. I do have a question, however...is AOL ever going to upgrade the journal service? Like maybe add new features, new themes (the old ones, although very nice, are getting boring) and colors, etc?  With several aspects of AOL being upgraded lately, AOL Journals is way overdue for a facelift.

Have a great weekend,
~ Susan

Like the previous comment, I am having problems with porn Spam in my journal comments as well.  I have a list of four names so far that I have deleted comments from and block from leaving future links.  It is obvious this is the same person.  They are leaving the same links over and over.  This is becoming an everyday thing and frankly is getting under my skin (which is probably his whole point).

I feel that this individual shouldn't even be allowed to have an AIM account.  After all isn't AOL big thing to stop Spam?

This person goes by the following names:

Shadowhawk3680
blazedwyteowl
kreamedkorn
Kxrebalgirl26

I would hate to quit having a journal...I love it here!  However, this is extremely irritating.

My journal has also been invaded by the same spam.  My worry is that it is a potential virus.  I have forwarded all comments to Tos'General.  Please let me know how AOL is handling this situation via email.  Thank you.

Hi...I fixed the link on the photo, thanks for the heads up.

I will address the porn spam problem and a bunch of other questions next week. In the meantime, please keep using the "Block This Screen Name" feature (making sure you check the "delete all comments by this screen name" checkbox).

Thanks -- Joe
