A Blogumentary About You. Us. Bloggers.

Hi folks -- saw this on boingboing yesterday: Filmmaker and blogger Chuck Olsen has a documentary on blogging, Blogumentary:

Chuck Olsen's Blogumentary

It's a personalized and candid film about the origins, growth and impact of blogging and social media; it features interviews with some of the more prominent ("A-list") bloggers out there.

As you might expect, it's an advocacy piece on blogging and citizen/social media; it also includes his own political views.

Blogger & Filmmaker Chuck Olsen.

The entire film is available online at Google video; it's just over an hour long -- I watched it yesterday (well, I watched some of it and listened to all of it, so I think I missed some of the blogging factoid graphics.)

There are a few graphic photos of a blogger/journalist who got his foot blown off by a landmine in Iraq, so be warned.

Even if you're not blogging about big issues and just use your blog to communicate with your friends (as most of us do), it's an interesting take on how bloggers as a whole are positioned in the collective media consciousness.
