Alerts Status Update

Hi folks -- John from the Alerts team says that the problem caused by this morning's Alerts production release should be resolved by now. I've started to get my own test comment Alerts again.

Please check to see if you're receiving your Alerts again; if you're still experiencing any problems with Alerts non-delivery, please leave me a comment below.

Thanks -- Joe

I got yours, so it works again. I envcountered a problem when trying to download some photos onto a blog entry. It crashed every time, but not when I downloaded the photo onto the album and then pasted the photos on the entry.

Jan -- I will doublecheck with the Alerts team, but in previous Alerts outages, we didn't get Alerts for entries or comments that were posted during the outage.

Joe....I've been getting some of my alerts but has AOL gotten rid of the instant alerts?  I've haven't received instant alerts in weeks.  I've done everything you told me to before.

Hi folks -- I'm passing along screen names of folks still having problems to the Alerts team so they can check -- if you know of others, please ask them to post a comment here. Thanks -- Joe

There have been a lot of complaints that when you go to a journal, it says unavailable or deleted.  I use the icon I have in my toolbar for my journal and I get the unavailable screen almost every time.  I also get it after writing an entry and I go to save it.  It's the same message.  I have learned to just hit ok, it goes back to the entry mode and then I hit cancel and my entry is posted.  Doing it any other way loses the entry.
A few other J-landers have told me they have had the same problems.
