Pearls Before Conan

Hi folks -- couple of quick items:

Today's Pearls Before Swine

Check out today's Pearls Before Swine comic; looks like Rat, who up until this point has been pooh-poohing blogs, has gone over to the dark side.

Next, talk show host Conan O'Brien did a few shows from San Francisco; while he was out there, he visited the campus of computer chip-maker Intel; check it out: Part 1 | Part 2:

Is it particularly bloggy? Not really, but this item comes from tech gossip blog Valleywag, which suggests that an 8-minute Conan clip is a better way to promote your company than a 40-minute videoblogged interview.

Gee, a professionally-produced spot written by a team of comedy writers and acted by a real actor/talk show host is going to be funnier and more compelling than something put out by a lone blogger or video podcaster? Who woulda thunk it?

(It's pretty much just a slam against Robert Scoble, who was Microsoft's official blogger for a while, and now does the video interview thing over at ScobleShow.)

Thanks -- Joe
