Comments Issues, Journals Hanging 11:12 AM 11/09/06

I've received emails and comments from a
number of you, reporting that you are having trouble leaving and
receiving comments
on your AOL Journals. I also understand that
the Journals product itself is loading slowly or
crashing for many of you.

I have passed your concerns onto the Journals Admin team
for further investigation. Please know that we're aware of the
problem
and working on it right now.

As soon as I
hear what's going on I'll be sure and message it here in Magic Smoke. And also,
as always, thanks for letting me know about this -- I appreciate your
vigilance.

Well, it did improve this morning but since late afternoon we have the same problem. Journals either will not load or are very slow but over here in the UK we are now getting even worse problems. What the hell is wrong with AOL. The problems I am referring to is that I know of at least three UK journallers who cannot even log on now to AOL. Each one has been told, after being members for years, that their SCREENNAMES are INVALID!!! and they cannot even log on.  There are probably others but there are three I know about.  I am aware the AOL UK was sold to the Carphone Warehouse but we were assure that AOL would still oversee everything and that AOL members would encounter NO problems.  Whether this is anything to do with it I do not know.  But many of us ARE experiencing problems.  AOL in America may now be "free" but we pay dearly for it over here, for instance I am on platinum broadband which would equate to almost sixty dollars per month in your money.  To pay this sort of money and to get the service we are getting is absolutely disgusting.  I am sorry to sound angry that is because I AM angry.  There is always something going wrong, either we do not get alerts sent out for our posting or we do not get alerts for comments posted or we cannot access journals, cannot comment. Most of this stems from going beta.  If something was not broken why fix it.  The old system was good and problems were much less. The whole thing has gone way beyond a joke now.  If aol does not sort this problem out soon, there will be many people finding new providers.

Please please, keep on at the powers that be and tell them that we want something done and we want it NOW!!

P.S. Thank you for saying you will keep us posted. That will be great if.....................we can access your journal to read what you say.  The way things are going, I have my doubts

Just reporting another problem with my Journal.
This one; http://journals.aol.co.uk/mariebm56/PhotographsMemoriesbyInvitationo/
I posted an entry & it posted twice, then someone commented & that came up twice.
Seems like the comments & posting might be coming in 2's.
I deleted the extra entry.  Just letting you know.
