Weekend Blogplugs - 6/29

Hi folks,


Another glorious weekend in the Bay area.
It's Sunday evening, blogplugs time :). I don't see a whole lot of them
this week. Maybe technorati has screwed up or people are busy enjoying
their summer.
By the way, I would
like to offer the Magic Smoke platform for anybody
who wants to host a game or a contest. Krissy and Val are
doing a great job with their Caption contest and I would like to see
more of such fun stuff.

* Krissy

This is in response to Rosemary's Thursday
challenge.

* Penny drops
by to say that she her move
to her new place was by no means smooth, but it got done. Her
dog Precious gave birth to puppies a few days after she moved
in.

* Tawnya's
Wednesday
Hero is Staff Sgt. Jude Voss 1st Battalion, 3d Special Forces
Group (Airborne).

* Indigo has
learnt to accept her deafness with serenity. In her words "More and
more I think I find more beauty and serenity in the silence than not".
She has a couple of occasions to celebrate: she turns 43 on July 1st
and is also celebrating her 5th anniversary with Paul (Doc). For the
first occasion she becomes introspective
and is at peace with the person she has become. For the second occasion
she has written
a poem.

* Jimmy is
happy to be the winner in the Caption contest and thanks all
who voted for him..he mentions something about bribes..is that
legal?:)

* John
mentions a Writer's workshop that Krissy and he went to,
where the presenter disliked
blogs and
bloggers.

* Monponsett
has posted several
pics from the Boston Celtics championship parade.
Editor's Note: As a former New Englander, I root for
all the Boston teams. WTG Celtics! Do I hear repeat
?

* And finally, Guido
mentions that AOL
Journals will celebrate 5 years in August. He is wondering if
somebody will pick up the baton as he is not yet actively involved in
JLand. Editor's Note: I am looking forward to it. It
has been a fun ride so far. Krissy has suggested a group chat on that
day and I think that is a great
idea.
