AIM have announced that all their Groups are going to be closed down as of July 10th. This means we lose the J-land Group. It has not seen a lot of activity to be perfectly honest, but has had its useful moments. Please have a look at the Group page, and indicate in a comment on this entry whether you wish to keep any forum entries. Everything will be deleted on July 10th.

Some of my friends just opened an AIM account in order to leave comments in the Journal........do you mean after they went through this process they will no longer be able to use this tool to leave comments?
I enjoyed the JLand Group....really nice people combined with our Journals.

Too bad AOL is closing the group(s) but with little activity to promote keeping them it makes sense for AOL.

This does not affect the journals, only Groups (which are a separate matter).

I was unaware of the groups. It scared me for a minute because I thought the journals were being canceled. I love journaling...Christine
