Blogging's cruelest stereotype is that it's a bunch of narcissists telling the world about their lunch. Stereotypes wouldn't be stereotypes if they weren't true enough to hurt a little, and this post is so stereotypical is HURTS:
My lunch today was freaking magical. There are no burritos in America like the burritos in California, and this one was no exception -- a fish, bean and rice concoction the size of an underweight infant, slathered in fresh guacamole.
I ate it on the beach at Santa Monica under warm California sun hanging low in a Prozac-blue sky. Turn the camera around, there's your Journals Editor himself:
That's all.

Hey...I like hearing about good food!
I would love to be on that beach right now in the warm sunshine. I would also like to have one of those burritos but leave the fish off as I am allergic to fish. Have a great trip. Helen
We're glad you're having fun. The interesting thing about blogging about your lunch is that there are people who actually want to read about your lunch. - Karen
Words will never accurately describe the cauldron of bile boiling up and burning the back of my throat when I look at these pictures. And no. Don't worry. I think the burrito sounds somewhat tasty.
It's the palm trees Jeff. They're mocking me, you see. Oh. And the beach isn't helping. I just got done shoveling a country mile's worth of snow sixteen inches deep, and to parade this in front of me is like a hot knife in my ice-cube eyeballs.
But, you know, enjoy the burrito while you look at this:

Glad you're having fun, though.

Just got back from a visit to CA. Walked Venice Beach and saw the Santa Monica area...well, the ferris wheel! I will admit, the burritos rock...but please hold the fish for me. yuck.

Jeff Thanks... I love reading about your trips

Wasn't it a gorgeous day? I was hoping to make it down to the beach, myself, but Christmas shopping interrupted my plans. Maybe tomorrow ?
Glad you enjoyed the fabulous weather ... minus all that dusty wind from previous days. Tina http://journals.aol.com/onemoretina/Ridealongwithme
Sun send me sun please :). Our weather has been rainy, windy and we lost our electric last night.

You have a wicked pretty mouth.
Dude! You look like an English (or German - there is truly little difference) football fan. You hooligan, you!

Paul's right. I can totally see Jeff being hauled out of a soccer game in cuffs.

Alerts for my journal entries are not working. File Manager is still not working.
Ah, the photographic reminder of my days living in Santa Barbara:) Love that fresh guac, fresh avocados even picked from the trees in our yard. Ya sure that wasn't shark in there instead of fish? It happens there sometimes. And, for Rap, Sun's here, was just busy this weekend:) -- Robin aka Sun

I can't say Why, but you have the right look for turning-the-camera-on-yourself. You might want to give Shaq his sunglasses back, though... a guy that size can accidentally kill you just by b*tch-slapping you.

OH, thats wicked,lol....in rain country, I cant even be happy for you vicariously, lol. A good burrito is hard to find, let alone sunshine in the fall. Although, I couldnt enjoy that everyday. I missed my rain country when I lived in Hawaii. Fake frost on windows just didnt bring in the seasonal bliss.
