Through an accident of grouping (since I'm listing Six-Packers in the order they responded in my comments), both of today's Six-Packers focused on techy, webby, bloggy kind of blogs -- blogs about blogging software, behavior and the industry.
Our first Six-Packer is UIDezign over at Mountain View Musings. Holly is the AOL Journals UI designer, and she chose a theme of Blogs I Read -- since Holly works on blog stuff, it shouldn't be a surprise that she reads a lot about blogs:
- TechCrunch - "Covers Web 2.0 Companies."
- apophenia - "Premier social researcher, danah boyd's thoughts on social software and other things. Specializes in MySpace, Friendster, and any other social softwares."
- Rashmi Sinha - "A premier cognitive social psychologist and user research specialist."
- Putting People First - "Covers design in the tech world, along with interviews of great designers."
- The Social Software Blog - "Covers social software and anything going on in the internet world."
- SiliconBeat - "Covers Silicon Valley mergers, acquisitions and rumors =). A more off-beat one is ValleyWag ... lots of juicy bits =)"
Then, over at Courage, Cdittric77 (that is, Charley), also went with a Web 2.0 theme; since his descriptions are also pretty short, here's his lead-in:
"To get in the spirit, I browsed some others and decided to focus the theme of my picks on Web 2.0. These six blogs are all out there to keep us dialed in to the latest developments on the web and technology:"
- Techcrunch - "Covers all companies technological."
- Engadget - "Is it cool? Does it have bells and whistles? It's probably on this site."
- Gizmodo - "Yet more fabulously cool things to buy."
- Chip Chick - "Technology for your softer side - or if you're a lady."
- Buzz Shout - "A cool site that you can visit to visit other sites and then rate and review them."
- The Next Big Web Thing - "It is what it says :)."
Thanks -- Joe

Great job, Joe.
I have been poking around the AOL blogsphere...is there anyone on AOL who blogs about faith-based topics (with either/both an ecumenical or denominational focus)? There are so many people in J-Land that use the journal for their expression of faith it might be a place well deserving of corporate attention.
Of course, I'd be happy to write a blog like that ;). Just something I thought worth bringing up!
Charley
