"What's the Caption? Wednesday" #4 Poll

Hi!  It's Krissy.  Valerie and I would like to thank all of you who have submitted captions for this week's "What's the Caption? Wednesday".

A panel of Jland judges has looked over all the captions, and has narrowed it down to three finalists.

Now it's your turn to participate.  Using the poll we have provided, choose your favorite caption for the photo below.

We are asking a few things of you.  We want the best caption to win fair and square.  Please vote only once.  Vote for the caption you like best, not for your favorite author!  And please, nobody campaign for votes.  You are on your honor.

You have until midnight on Monday to vote.  On Tuesday morning the winner will be announced.  Any votes added to the poll after midnight on Monday will be ignored.

Now have fun! ~ vote!

But, but, but...you missed the best one. I came here to vote for "get in my belly!" but it isn't even on the list.

I agree with Paul...you missed the best one!  Is there any way we could ever vote on more than three?  My entries aside I always think there are better ones than the ones we are given to vote on.

Cute comments.

I'm in agreement with the majority of comments so far. You've missed the best ones since the start of these contests. There should be a way to vote on all entries. Then, you can narrow down the top three vote getters and come to a better conclusion as to which is best.

Super delegates nothwithstanding, this is the only way to ascertain the best entries, by popular vote. The vote should be made using your screen name to discourage voting more than once.

First, I would like to CONGRATULATE the winner.  Great job!

As far as voting twice, it does not allow you to do so under the same name.  If someone wanted to be that deviant in behavior they could come under a pusedo name, but hopefully everyone will respect the rules of the game and vote only once.  I think the keepers of this game have tried their best to make it fair, and deserve credit for trying to do so.

Not everyone is going to be happy all the time with the results and may scratch their head and wonder why wasn't my caption (or John Doe's) highlighted?  Good luck on a strategy that will make everyone happy all the time, because I fear it just is not going to happen.  Someone suggested adding more than just three.  For grins, lets say they make it five captions.  Then someone else will come along and cry foul and say "Can't you add more?" No matter what they decide it is not going to be a perfect system, or make everyone happy all the time, but I do think they try to make it fun for everyone.

Congratulations to the winner!  Great caption!

Thank you ab45yui for understanding the complexities of the game and how the voting is handled.  Thank you also for understanding how hard the judges work in selecting the captions.

While perhaps something may be able to be changed in this process (the way the captions are chosen to be voted upon for the game), and I am not sure it will be able to - you are correct -perhaps no system will satisfy everyone.  Therefore we may have to stick with what we have going on now.  We shall see.
