Scholarships Around the US has an annual $2,000 Political Blogging Scholarship for full-time college students; here's what they say:
"Scholarship Requirements:In their "no spam" request, you'll note that they use bold text, three exclamation marks and "please," so that will undoubtedly deter any spammers or griefers.
- Your blog must contain unique and interesting information about political issues, current events, opinions, etc. No spam bloggers please!!!
- U.S. citizen;
- 3.0 GPA;
- Currently attending full-time in post-secondary education; and
- If you win, you must be willing to allow us to list your name and blog on this page. We want to be able to say we knew you before you became awell educated, rich, and famous blogging legend."
Submissions are due by Sunday, Feb. 4th, and there's a public voting phase (gee, that should go well... that's two overly-cynical remarks from me in a row, I'd better stop).

I used to beat the financial aid system likea short-changed pimp when I was in college, but I was an orphan. They used to give me $5000 cheques, every semester.
Why don't you rattle Leonsis' wallet and get a few scholarships for some of AOL's teen bloggers? Make up a contest or something...(smacks you in the head)....I have to do all the thinking around here, I swear...
I think that is a great idea. College students have passion and hope which is an essential ingredient to do wonderfully. Some of us, myself included, need our passion renewed. Life sucks,lol. ~Raven
Wow i wouldn't mind doing some thing like this, i do love blogging but you see i live in the Uk and i am already in full time education at college... What a shame . oh well good luck to those.
